Black Hawk Colorado’s gaming scene has been reimagined since it had last opened its doors in 2000. Its temporary closure, following the city’s directive as precautionary measures for the COVID-19 pandemic, had put their services on halt for a good four months. Particularly famous for what is called “Black Hawk’s Best Poker Room,” this sizeable local game house has always been flocked by players who want to play in style. The interior and exterior of the place is fairy-tale-like, living up to their namesake: the world-famous New Orleans festival. State-of-the-art facilities and world-class designs would make anyone feel like they are in the authentic French Quarter.

As one of three casinos under the Black Hawk casino consortium, Mardi Gras Casino aims to bring light and life back to the virus-stricken city. New construction was added along with radon mitigation Denver Services. Along with Golden Gates and Golden Gulch, the 2-decade old Mardi Gras Casino hypes up the community with a phased reopening on July 17, 2020. Even with limited operations, people still have plenty of choices on how to unwind and unpack the stress. 

Dine, drink, or play – they are back with their usual activities, but with regulated operations. Their hours are limited from 8 AM to 2 AM every day instead of their former 24/7 timetable.

Seating capacity is also restricted during the starting phase of the reopening. The casino will only be allowed a maximum of 175 people. Seating arrangements would also be a machine apart to practice social distancing. 

The same protocols are applied in their in-house restaurants. Customers will have the option to dine-in in Bourbon  Street Café with limited capacity, and groups should sit separately. Other cafes like Full House and Creekside Deli will only accommodate take-out orders.

They have assigned fixed exits and entranceways for the entire property to lessen the overcrowding and guests bumping into each other. Standard protocol before anyone is allowed to enter the premises include a routine quick health examination. A temperature check at the doors will be conducted. Face covering, and proper sanitation are required upon registering, for both staff and guests.

In order to bring back the fuss-free fun, they planned to start up their machines without any dilly-dallying. Opening their arms to the public again is a task they thoroughly and meticulously planned. Increased cleaning measures have been implemented so that everyone can count on their safety within the Mardi Gras walls. Their reopening response plan is sufficiently comprehensive for the sake of both their employees and customer’s health and safety. They made this message clear on their website, which their response plan can be fully accessed.

Frolic with caution – Mardi Gras Casino’s actions towards this predicament are part of their passion and compassion to their guests. Their massive structure would house a throng of players looking for a good time amidst the uncertainty of the situation. It behooved the management to go beyond their line of duty to ensure that anyone who enters the casino would feel that they are safe from any harm.
